An 87-year-old grandmother died after a cigarette started a blaze in her living room, an inquest heard yesterday.
Anne Pickett, of St Hughs Close, Banbury, died on February 26 after she fell asleep in her armchair and dropped a cigarette, which ignited the room as she slept.
Oxfordshire Coroner Darren Salter recorded a verdict of accidental death at an inquest in Oxford yesterday.
