UK sales of the Mini shot up last month, latest figures about the Cowley-produced car show.
Statistics produced by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show 3,147 cars were sold in July, a rise of eight per cent on the 2,914 that left forecourts in the same month last year.
So far this year, 28,467 cars have been sold, 3.41 per cent more than for the same period in 2012.
