FOLK music fans are invited to come and squeeze into the intimate White Horse Folk Festival.
Held in Grove near Wantage and now in its 16th year, the festival takes over tiny venues, from the village hall to local pubs. It is organised by husband-and-wife team David and Kate Guest, who wanted to create a friendly festival for dedicated fans.
Mrs Guest, of Membury Way, Grove, said: “That is the whole ethos of the festival. It is mostly about coming and joining in. The artists performing are just as accessible as the people running the workshops.”
This year’s events include a sea shanty session, belly dancing demonstrations and morris dancing.
The festival runs from August 16 to 18 and includes nine free events.
