FUNDRAISERS gathered for a walk around Wallingford’s Castle Gardens and Castle Meadows to raise funds for cancer sufferers.

The bi-annual cancer walk took place at the gardens on Sunday, July 14, with those taking part completing circuits of the meadows.

Mayor Bernard Stone and wife Barbara took part, along with Dorothy Brown, chairman of South Oxfordshire District Council.

Wallingford Walk Against Cancer organiser Theresa Jordan, who is also one of the organisers of Wallingford Carnival, said: “Many of our lives have been affected by cancer in some way and the walk raises vital funds for the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Cancer Care Fund.”
