The ambulance service has warned people against making hoax calls.
In the first six months of the year, 171 hoax calls were made across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. South Central Ambulance Service spokesman James Keating-Wilkes said: “We always seek to prosecute in these cases but it can be hard to trace the caller.”
Meanwhile, with the recent hot weather, there has been an increase of about 200 calls to the service in each weekend compared to last year.
