A SHOP has been terrorised by masked raiders for the second time this month and the fourth time in four years.

Two men wearing balaclavas and brandishing crowbars entered the Co-op in Ferriston, Banbury, at 6am yesterday demanding staff open the safe.

Told they could not access the money, the men searched the store, then hit both female members of staff with crowbars, breaking the arm of one. The attackers were described as slim and apparently in their thirties.

They drove off in a silver Mazda MX5 with a soft-top roof.

The store and Co-operative refused to comment.

Two masked men also robbed the store with crowbars on July 8. They stole money. No arrests were made.

In August 2010 robbers armed with a crowbar, hammer and kitchen knife threatened staff at the store and made off with cash.

In 2009 a man wearing a balaclava entered the store carrying a knife.

He told a member of staff to hand over several thousand pounds before leaving the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
