TWO TV stars are getting in the swing of organising a charity golf day for East Oxford charity Helen and Douglas House.
Warren Clarke, of Dalziel and Pascoe fame, and Dennis Waterman, a star of New Tricks, are hosting the day on Friday, September 6 at Bicester Hotel, Golf and Spa and they are inviting golf fans to join them.
At ‘The Clarke Waterman Celebrity Golf Day’ each team of three will be joined by one of the pair’s celebrity guests.
In the evening there will be a two-course dinner, including presentations to the winning teams and entertainment.
Mr Clarke said: “This celebrity golf day is great fun and will be raising money for a great local charity. I have visited Helen and Douglas House and was very touched by the amazing work they do to support families with children and young adults with life-shortening conditions.”
Janet Carruzzo, community fundraiser at Helen and Douglas House, said: “The money raised at this event will help us provide vital respite breaks, end of life care and post bereavement support for local families.”
