An inquest into the death of 15-year-old Martha Ferback will be opened today.
Oxfordshire coroner Darren Salter is expected to open the inquest at County Hall and adjourn it to await the outcome of an investigation.
An initial post-mortem examination carried out on Monday proved inconclusive, and a result is not expected for at least six weeks.
Martha, of North Oxford, died in Hinksey Park on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest. Police believe she took a substance she thought to be the drug MDMA before she died.
A of boy 17 arrested over with the incident has been bailed until September 5.
