THERE are delays of up to 30 minutes on CrossCountry trains between Oxford, Banbury and the West Midlands this morning, due to signalling problems caused by lightning strikes in Birmingham.
Disruptions are expected until noon.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of rain in Oxfordshire today, with some torrential downpours expected during the course of the day.
This is because an area of low pressure is expected to interact with the humid air across parts of southern Britain. Large rainfall totals, falling in short periods and on to hard-baked ground may lead to flooding locally.
The Met Office said the public should be aware of the risk of disruption to travel.
