WHEN the village church tower needs saving, you have to do what you can, whatever your age.
Children at Culham Parochial School put on their shorts for a sponsored relay run around the village field in 1979.
Their run was held to launch an appeal to help save St Paul’s Church and, in particular, its tower and bells.
- There was plenty of fun for all ages at Culham Fayre in 1992 and among the visitors that year was Megan Parry, four, who looked a little uncertain as she took a ride on a quad bike with David Sedgwick.
- Members of the All Fools Club at Culham Laboratory handed over £500 of specialised PE equipment to Larkmead School, Abingdon, in 1986, for use by seven disabled youngsters.
