FROM the response received from Oxfordshire County Council concerning my complaint about the unsafe pavements, which are, I am told, inspected regularly, either the inspector is blind or walks along with his eyes closed, as the number of defective pavings increases weekly.

I have requested Prime Minister David Cameron writes to the WODC to get improvements done before someone is seriously hurt.

From the council’s response the allowable defects are far in excess of new-build building regulations and to date more than 350 people have offered their support in getting improvements made.

If the couldn’t-care-less-attitude continues I am prepared to go out at dawn to photograph the defects which are obvious to all except the council inspector. Supporters can call me on 07880 645283.
