THE 38-year-old man arrested yesterday following a 12-hour stand-off in Kidlington is still being held by police this morning.
The man was tasered and then arrested by police on suspicion of firearms offences after holding his two-year-old twin daughters in a flat in Morton Avenue.
Police were called to the property at 3.40am by the girls' mother, who the Oxford Mail is not identifying.
Negotiations with the man then started and he released his daughters, one at a time, at about 9.45am and 11.37am.
The stand-off then continued until just before 3.40pm - almost 12 hours to the minute when the woman alerted police - when officers arrested him.
He is expected to be interviewed by police this morning.
The girls were reunited with their mother and police said they had not been injured.
