OXFORD: Councillors will decide whether to give Oxford greyhound stadium official heritage status today. A report going before the city council executive strongly recommends approval for adding the stadium in Sandy Lane to its Heritage Asset Register.
It includes the results of a public consultation on the proposal, where 87 per cent of the 76 people who responded backed the report.
If approved, the move will strengthen attempts to preserve the stadium in Blackbird Leys in the face of development.
The meeting is at 5pm at Oxford Town Hall in St Aldate’s.
