A homeless man has appeared in court to deny breaking in to two Oxford homes and stealing laptops, mobile phones and other items.

Alan Goodman, 31, of no fixed abode, is charged with two counts of burglary.

At Oxford Crown Court yesterday he denied entering a building in Percy Street, East Oxford, between April 19 and 22 this year and taking a laptop computer, mobile phone, gloves and keys, and stealing a laptop computer from a property in Gibbs Crescent, West Oxford.

He was remanded in custody until Wednesday, September 11.
