OXFORD: A police cordon near the Kadai and Naan restaurant in Cowley Road concerned a reported sexual assault.
Despite an initial report, the victim did not confirm a sexual assault took place and did not want to make a formal complaint, leading police to drop the investigation.
Staff at the restaurant, which was not connected to the incident, noticed the tape at 9am on Saturday.
As reported in yesterday’s Oxford Mail, police could not confirm over the weekend why the cordon was in place.
