Concern has to be raised regarding the current leisure consultation for Didcot.

Having recently participated in a consultation on this issue, it was made clear this was for the new leisure centre and we must not include the current facilities. I believe on the selection choices, the issue of a leisure pool was there. If so, did this mean at the expense of the Wave? Or did it mean a new leisure pool?

We cannot have a two-tier Didcot.

Any new leisure facilities cannot all be lumped on the new Ladygrove development – at the expense of existing facilities. Existing facilities i.e. the Wave and the leisure centre, must remain.

The consultation for the new leisure centre must be for new and additional facilities.

If all the leisure facilities are to be on the Ladygrove development, where proposed – a good part of the community will be excluded because it also takes for granted that all potential users have the ability to get there.

In my view many will be excluded or deterred including: many with disabilities, those with young children and elderly people perhaps with mobility problems.

What Didcot has been missing for many years is an outdoor paddling pool which means travelling to Wallingford or Abingdon to have access to such a facility.
