A man has been arrested in the US for allegedly committing sexual offences against a teenage girl.
Nicholas Cheese, of Templar Road, Wolvercote, was arrested at 7pm on Sunday at a motel in Bangor, Maine.
The 26-year-old has now been charged with one count of gross sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a minor.
Cheese was not able to afford the $100,000 bail set by a judge and has been remanded in custody.
He is due to appear in Penobscot County district court on September 5.
