A MAN who sexually abused two teenage boys has been jailed for more than five years.

Stephen Isle, of Roper Road, Upper Heyford, near Bicester, admitted six counts of indecent assault that took place between 1997 and 2001.

The 49-year-old appeared in Oxford Crown Court on Monday after he handed himself in to St Aldate’s Police Station on March 20.

Graham Smith, prosecuting, said the abuse only stopped when one of his victims told Isle he would kill himself.

Benjamin Long, defending, said: “That was when he realised that what he was doing was so serious that he had to stop.

“He did not commit any further abuse against either of those young men after that remark was said.”

Judge Patrick Eccles said: “I have read personal statements from the two victims and it is obvious they have been done significant harm by what you did.

“Who knows what the extent of the psychological and emotional damage will be in the years to come.”

Judge Eccles jailed Isle for five years and three months and made him subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order, which bans unsupervised contact with children.
