A man has been jailed for 12 months for two sexual offences against women out walking with their young children.
Areldas Aputas, of Southam Road, Banbury, was sentenced yesterday at Oxford Crown Court, after admitting sexual assault and battery with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The sexual assault took place on April 23 in Kings Road, Banbury, when a woman carrying her 15-month-old daughter felt the 23-year-old bump into her from behind. He had committed an indecent act.
Then on June 5 in Sinclair Avenue, Banbury, Apputas exposed himself to a woman walking with her three-year-old child.
Judge Mary Jane Mowat sentenced him to 12 months in prison and said he would spend 10 years on the sex offenders’ register.
