PLEASE could one of the Oxford bus companies consider running a shuttle bus during Cowley Carnival, below?
For people with young children or those with mobility problems, it’s a lengthy trek from Temple Cowley, Oxford Road and Florence Park areas along the Oxford Road to get to the start of the carnival (and back).
A carnival shuttle, running from Templars Square, could run via the Swan then down Oxford Road, serving all stops to the ‘Regal’. It could loop back, via Magdalen Road, Ridgefield Road and Howard Street.
On previous occasions, I’ve met bemused people at bus stops attempting to get to Oxford as no notices are placed at the bus stops. These people could also catch the Shuttle to link at Templars Square with buses being directed down Iffley Road.
