l THANK you for your detailed and full coverage of the Russell family and their cruelty to animals court case (Oxford Mail, June 21, right).
Would it be inadvisable of me to ask how none of the Animal Welfare brigade, who have plenty of time to hang around the University of Oxford Science area, in South Park Road, being a nuisance, have failed to notice this ‘Crunchy Rescue’?
It is the second such case reported in the media this year. Surely the smell must have given the warning to someone who could alert the animal welfare.
Well done the RSPCA and anyone else who helped stop the Russells continue their awful practice. I do hope they get more than a “two months’ suspended sentence” but am afraid I may hope in vain.
