A MAN and a woman have admitted causing grievous bodily harm and false imprisonment.

Lewis Cyprien, of Liddell Road, Cowley, and Charlotte Barton, of Bonar Road, Headington, appeared at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.

Charges relate to crimes committed against Anthony Vickers on April 9, at a property in Godfrey Close, Headington.

Cathy Olliver, prosecuting, said he let Cyprien, 21, and Barton, 25, into his house but an argument broke out.

Miss Olliver said: “Mr Cyprien began to assault the complainant and Miss Barton joined in.”

She said they stabbed him several times, inflicting small wounds.

“During this period of torture, the complainant offered up his bank card to make it stop,” she said, adding that he was locked in a bathroom overnight.

The pair were remanded in custody until sentencing on August 29.

Judge Gordon Risius said he would assess if Cyprien was dangerous, in light of a prior jail term for wounding.
