OXFORD: A controversial restraint technique was used on Oxfordshire mental health patients 225 times, according to charity figures.

Mental health charity Mind said the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust used the face-down restraint move fewer than only two other English trusts from April 2011 to March 2012.

The charity is calling for the Government to ban the technique as 13 people have died in England after being restrained in that way since 2000.
