POLICE have released CCTV images of a man and woman they want to question about a theft from an 83-year-old woman in Witney.

The victim’s wallet was stolen near Waitrose in the Woolgate Centre in Market Square on May 30 at 1pm.

The offenders then fraudulently used the woman’s bank cards at a NatWest cash machine, Ladbrokes, and Lloyds pharmacy, all in Witney’s High Street.

During the spree a total of £340 was taken from the victim’s bank account.

The two offenders were said to have spoken with foreign accents.

Police released the images last night of two people they want to speak to in connection to the incident.

They are appealing for anyone who saw the offenders in the area at the time.

Anyone with any information should contact PC Katherine Giles via police on 101.
