AN EVENT to open a scheme that will link unemployed people on Oxford’s estates with job vacancies was cancelled.
Talent Match was to be launched yesterday at the work club at Barton Neighbourhood Centre in Oxford between 12 and 2pm.
The reasons for the cancellation are unknown but Talent Match has promised to reschedule the launch.
A number of volunteer-run work clubs exist in Blackbird Leys, Barton, Wood Farm and Littlemore and the initiative aims to provide mentors with information to help jobseekers.
