A CAFE has opened its doors to the public as part of a £2m project to renovate two 400-year-old barns at a church in Abingdon.
The scheme to convert the buildings at Christ Church in Northcourt Road was launched in 2010.
The cafe is in barns opposite Budgens and is open from 9am to 4.30pm, from Tuesday to Friday. Christ Church employs Sarah Grange as the manager and members of the congregation help out as volunteers.
Mrs Grange, 26, of Abingdon, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to offer a space right in the heart of North Abingdon for people of all ages to come and relax.”
