Abingdon mum Laura Clarke helped her son Casey, two, to create a fearsome lion mask at a library crafts session.
They joined other families at the animal antics event at Abingdon Library in The Charter on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old said: “We called in on the off chance for a book and I am glad we popped in.
“They were reading animal stories and the kids were making animal masks. It was really good, he had a great time.”
Wendy Trotman, also of Abingdon, was there with her grandson Nate Glass.
Ms Trotman, 57, said three-year-old Nate enjoyed the afternoon and added: “We go every week to rhyme time at the library. It is very good and the activites are free which is great.”
Youngsters also enjoyed an animal-themed storytime.
