DIESEL versions of the 2007 Range Rover, only just on sale in the UK, get a world-first petrol fuel-guard system, which will prevent owners filling the vehicle with petrol.
Land Rover's innovative system is built into the vehicle's diesel filler head, and activates a mechanical shutter if a petrol nozzle is inserted.
It distinguishes between petrol and diesel nozzles - thinner unleaded petrol dispensers go deeper down the neck of the vehicle's fuel tank, activating the shutter.
