MARK Sennett, chairman of Oxford United Supporters Group OxVox says there is much more to football than just kicking a ball around a field.
Now Oxford University researchers are looking to prove that by studying how fans’ passion for their team affects their memory and senses.
One of the volunteers for the research, David Pratt, said he was delighted to help, even though it hasn’t been the U’s best season. It will be interesting to see how his brain reacts to images associated with United as opposed to rival clubs.
