THIS view of Oxford University’s Radcliffe Observatory Quarter shows its £70m Mathematical Institute is slowly taking shape.

The building is on track for completion in September and is just one part of the £200m redevelopment of the 10-acre site, which is bounded by Woodstock Road, Walton Street, Somerville College to the south, and Green Templeton College to the north.

University bosses are also preparing to submit a planning application for the £30m Blavatnik School of Government building. They hope it will be considered in April.
