Summertown resident and picture book creator Ted Dewan (pictured at the Story Museum in Pembroke Street) will be providing the entertainment at a ‘Story and Spice’ gala dinner next month in aid of Kennington Library, writes Maggie Hartford.
Between courses a mystery activity for all will be on offer, with the help of supporters, including Bill Heine of BBC Radio Oxford, children’s book illustrator Korky Paul and local authors Liz Harris and Mick Smith.
Artist Weimin He will be sketching and guests at the gala night on March 2 are invited to come dressed as a favourite character. Abingdon bookshop Mostly Books will have a stand. Tickets, £13.50 including dinner, are available from Sylvia Vetta 07809 054969 or from secretary@ friendsofkenningtonlibrary.org.uk
