A man accused of a stabbing at a traveller’s funeral has denied the charges against him.
John Mongan, 41, from Middle Ground, Wheatley, entered his plea at Oxford Crown Court yesterday. He denies possessing an offensive weapon, causing grievous bodily harm with intent and unlawful wounding after an incident in Iffley Road, on Tuesday, November 13, last year.
He was arrested after a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the neck.
He was remanded in custody to stand trial at Oxford Crown Court on April 22.
