APPRENTICE Kloe Scane helped teenagers set their sights on a career at a special event aimed at boosting job prospects.
Kloe, 16, is a first year apprentice with Ignitesport, based at Marston, which guides young people into teaching sport to youngsters.
She had a busy day at the Careers Fest event at the Mini plant in Cowley yesterday, with Year 11 pupils from schools across the city queuing to have a go at archery and pick up more information. They included “This has been a great opportunity for young people to see the different courses available and the opportunities that exist apart from going into the sixth form,” said Kloe. “Becoming an apprentice was the best choice I have made.”
Up to 1,300 pupils are expected to visit over two days.
Event director Alison Robb-Webb said: “The most important thing has been giving the opportunity for young people to speak to employers.”
