CAN anyone shed any light on a mystery car?

It is a wooden model of a Morris/Austin 1100 and was found in a skip by a student who was studying in Oxford in the mid-1990s.

The picture with our story appeared in the November/ December edition of Idle Chatter, the magazine of the 1100 Club, whose members are enthusiasts of the marque.

It is relatively large, at about 1/6 scale, and made of hard wood.

Some sections are joined with brass screws and, as you can see in the photograph above, it has no wheels.

Does anyone know who made it? Could there be a link with the Cowley car factories?

Write and let me know.
