Man quizzed on park sex attack

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a woman was attacked in People’s Park at the weekend.

The 23-year-old Banbury man was arrested on Monday over the incident which happened in the early hours of Saturday. He was bailed by police until next Wednesday.

The 46-year-old woman was attacked by a man who tried to speak to her at a taxi rank, then followed her into the park and assaulted her.

He was described as white, in his early 20s, about 5ft 6in tall and wore jeans and a woolly hat or baseball cap.
