A 28-year-old woman has denied charges in connection with a disturbance at Witney’s Christmas lights switch-on.
Bethan Tichborne, of Campbell Road, Cowley, is charged with obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty and using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Prime Minister David Cameron, MP for the Witney constituency, switched on the lights on November 30.
Tichborne appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday and a trial date will be set tomorrow.
