Beatrice Carr, a Marston youngster who was left with a hypoxic brain injury at 10 following an asthma attack, has died.
The 16-year-old was blind and had disabilities including curvature of the spine.
She was not predicted to survive past the age of 14 when breathing support was removed, but defied medics to celebrate her 16th birthday this year.
Her funeral will take place tomorrow at 2.15pm in St Barnabas Church, Horton-cum-Studley. All are invited to attend.
