A WOMAN found with serious head injuries in Woodstock is in a “serious condition” at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
Police were called to an address in Brown's Lane at 2am today.
Det Chief Insp Mark Johns said: “We are in the early stages of the investigation and are currently trying to establish how the woman, who had just returned from a night out, became injured.
“We are keeping an open mind on how this injury occurred.
“There is currently a scene watch in place in Brown’s Lane to allow us to carry out a thorough investigation.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who might have information to help the police investigation, to contact us.”
