SIXTH-FORMERS at Wood Green School set up a business called Vision in 1986 selling Christmas cards and invited primary school pupils to submit designs. The winner, Harriet Griffin, five, from Batt School, is seen immediately below receiving her prize, a book token, from Vision staff, art director Simon Knox, managing director Peter Elliott and secretary Kate Wardle.
Pupils at Blake Primary School won 12 prizes in a competition at West Oxfordshire Technical College’s Christmas book bazaar in 1973. Receiving their book tokens in the middle picture are, left to right, Terry Moss, nine, Jonathan Bashford, 11, David Howse, nine, Ruth Ashton, 11, and Colin Reynolds, nine.
The bottom picture was taken at Blake School in 1995 when Melissa Russell caused amusement with her attempt to milk a cow at the school fete.
