I WRITE regarding the article Make some criminals’ Christmas miserable (December 1). That’s right, lock up the criminals in prison and make their Christmas miserable.
Three hot meals a day, lovely centrally-heated cell, TV, pool table, tennis table and games. Not having to get up and go out in the cold to work. Yes, let’s make their Christmas miserable.
I think there are thousands of old age pensioners who would love a Christmas like that, with no worries of either eating a meal and being cold, or not eating and having the central heating on, as most of them can’t afford both.
I bet it makes a lot of them think of committing a crime to go to prison over the Christmas and winter period, just to have a full belly and warm bodies and not having to worry about the cost of it.
Yes, let’s make their Christmas miserable (like a lot of OAPs).
