Teen arrested after robbery

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested following an armed robbery.

Cash was stolen from McColl’s newsagents in Savile Way when a masked offender went into the shop with a knife and demanded money at about 6.15pm on Monday, November 26.

The 15-year-old was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of armed robbery, and was bailed until January 19.

Dc Stephen Knight said: “We would especially like to talk to anyone who has found a piece of paper with the words ‘money quick’ written on it, as we believe this was used in the robbery.”
