ON a recent bus from Oxford to Woodstock, a foreign gentleman got on and tried to pay for his fare with £5 worth of 1p coins.
The bus driver explained that he could not accept that much loose change but thought on his feet, stopped his bus and sent the man to the bank across the road to change the coins into a £5 note, which he then accepted as payment. Well done driver, for being so considerate.
