First infected ash trees destroyed in county
10:40am Tuesday 13th November 2012 in News
More than 300 ash trees were burned yesterday after about 60 of them were found to be infected with Chalara dieback.
The infected trees had been imported from Holland and planted as part of the Kingsmere development just outside Bicester.
The trees were burned at about midday on farmland just outside the town.
It was Oxfordshire’s first known case of ash dieback.
