WELL at least the reply from Nicholas Wilson (ViewPoints, Nov 5), contained debate as opposed to the childish “go live somewhere else”.

For the record, I do criticise any government, no regime is perfect and I have said so on many occasions.

I’m more concerned with my government and the assumption anything left must be bad. I will continue to criticise our government as education, health and pensions are systematically destroyed. And I will continue to complain when a country bankrupted by the elite he supports, affects me and my family.

I suggest most readers see this Government and opposition’s support to bankers and are not happy with it.

He’s right about this Government creating “splits in society” as the rich get richer at ordinary people’s expense.

As for Ian Cummings’ latest effort, I think Roger Lee answered it far better than I could have.

The reference to the BBC though? That establishment doesn't always get it right, as recent news may suggest, and I do watch it – do you watch a differing view? Why take a one-sided biased view, I wonder if my reference from a balanced journalist was taken?

Please tell me how many countries Cuba or Venezuela have bombed, invaded or attacked with drones, let alone threatened. There is almost certainly a lack of rich bankers in those places.

Maybe, just maybe, for all their imperfections, they actually put ordinary people first. Isn’t that something to aspire to here?
