BOYLAN John Edward Aged 63 years, peacefully at Sobell House Hospice on 7th July. Professor of Business Analytics, Lancaster University. Beloved husband of Jan. Much loved cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, colleague and friend. Funeral service to take place at Oxford Crematorium at 11am on Monday 31st July. Family flowers only. It was with great sadness and shock that I discovered on Christmas Day that John had passed away on July 7th. He was a great friend to me during what we liked to call 'our Litherland days' and we shared many happy memories of that time, actually reconnecting about four years ago.
Words cannot describe how the news has affected me personally. John was such a lovely, kind man always thinking of others.
My heart goes out to his beloved wife Jan and all his family, friends and colleagues.
He will be greatly missed by everybody who knew him.
Rest in peace John.

It is with a sad heart that am writing this message. I only found out today 08/10/23 that John had had passed away. I attended the same school as John in Litherland Liverpool and new him very well visiting him Oxford in the eighties. Very Sad news - RIP John.
