Bradley Cooper has not given away details of the Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 sequel, according to director James Gunn – because he hasn’t read the script yet.

Many fans thought the actor, who voices Rocket Raccoon, had revealed the identity of hero Peter Quill’s father in a recent interview.

But James was quick to quash speculation.

Peter, who is played by Chris Pratt, never knew the identity of his father – a vital story thread left unresolved at the end of the 2014 film.

In the MTV interview, Bradley mentioned Thanos (Josh Brolin), saying: “(Josh) is the main villain, no? He was in the first one, he played what’s his name’s dad… Dark Lord, the main guy.”

His Burnt co-star Sienna Miller laughed: “Oops… you just leaked a Marvel script, Bradley.”

But it seems Bradley was talking about the first scene – and misremembering a few plot details, perhaps re-imagining Ronan the Accuser as Thanos’s son.
