As if performing at Glastonbury was not already a risky move, Kanye West stirred things up further by attempting to imitate the late, great Freddie Mercury – to the disdain of many fans.
The American rapper covered Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, irritating viewers when he appeared to forget the words.
At the end of his headline set, Kanye also told people they were watching the “greatest living rock star on the planet”.
Fans on Twitter reacted to his declaration and his Queen performance.
Celebrities joined in the online conversation about the star’s performance, among them his wife, Kim Kardashian.
Kanye, who has 13 million followers on Twitter and whose Yeezus album sold more than 320,000 copies in its first week, did have plenty of supporters though.
