Autumn may be well and truly here, but don’t be fooled into thinking the festival season is over... just yet, anyway.

Saturday sees Oxford’s Cowley Road transformed into the site of one of the country’s finest urban festies – Ley Lines.

Picking up where the Truck Festival’s OX4 left off, Ley Lines sees upwards of 30 bands, artists and DJs playing at venues scattered around East Oxford, with everything from indie-pop, to dubstep, electronica, folk and rock. Big names include soul/blues singer-songwriter Jamie Woon, London indie-rockers Futures, and Sheffield’s one-man dance-powerhouse and remix genius Toddla T (see below).

But the beauty of Ley Lines is the potential for discovering new names – so we have rising indie stars Another’s Blood, gothic multi-instrumentalist Catherine A.D., sonic experimentalist Hyetal, Welsh electronica duo Man Without Country, rave producer Melé, and London pop act Theme Park.

As you’d expect, Oxford’s homegrown talent is well represented – with sets by, among many others, Gunning For Tamar, Secret Rivals, Vixens, Lewis Watson, Listing Ships, Adam Barnes, I Said Yes, Kill Murray, Static Prevail, Beta Blocker and The Body Clock.

The music is centred on the O2 Academy, The Bullingdon, and a new venue – The Old Boot Factory in St Mary’s Road.

The fun starts at noon. For more details, and £15 multi-venue tickets, visit leylinesfestival.wordpress.com
