EVERY New Year’s Eve the same tired old friends shrug their shoulders and suggest the night is always a let down, so its better not to bother - so sit together in a pub and have a nice quiet time.

But if there is one night of the year when it is obligatory and worth any effort to go that extra mile and enjoy a good old fashioned blow out, then it can only be New Year’s Eve.

Luckily someone has bothered to come up with a New Year plan.

At London’s O2 Brixton Academy the cobwebs of an old decade will be blown away at ‘Get Loaded In The Dark’ a staggering array of 39 of the biggest dance acts.

And with a line-up headlined by Simian Mobile Disco, Chase and Status and BBC Radio One DJ Annie Mac, this 10 hour clubbing bonanza makes all your New Years Eve plans for you, so you don’t even have to bother... just turn up!

As word spread of this once-in-a-decade dance music event the night is well on its way to becoming a sell-out, with all advanced tickets snapped up by eager fans.

But the good news is a limited number of tickets will go on sale on Tuesday December 29, just two days before the big night, providing a perfect opportunity for anyone who hasn’t made plans for the evening.

The clamour for tickets is largely on the back of the unprecedented success of the summer’s Get Loaded In The Park, where sell-out 20,000 revellers partied in Clapham Common to an enviable line-up which included dance music pioneers Orbital.

So The Park’s twisted winter cousin, Get Loaded In The Dark, promises to be biggest clubbing night of the colder months with the world’s finest dance artists aiming to take the roof off one of London’s best music venues.

SIMIAN SPECTACULAR

Topping the bill, which boasts some of the best acts in clubbing today, is electro duo Simian Mobile Disco.

The pair have enjoyed a stunning 2009, with lengthy tours and growing fanatical fanbase.

Their second studio album, Temporary Pleasure, released in May this year was a dance music gem featuring illustrious guests such as Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip, Beth Ditto of Gossip, and Chris Keating of Yeasayer.

Sharing the headline is Chase & Status who will craft some sizzling dubstep, before they begin 2010 working with Rihanna.

The dance duo’s electronic beats have led to three number one’s in the UK Dance Charts and their album More Than a Lot won best album at 2009 Drum and Bass Awards.

DJ Annie Mac, of BBC Radio One regular Friday night slot Annie Mac’s Mash Up, will also spin the discs in which promises to be one of the highlights of what is set to already be the clubbing night of the year.

Other acts on the eclectic line-up include Golden Silvers, Herve, Loose Cannons, Union DJs ft. Killa Kela, Sub Focus & MC Jakes and Kissy Sell Out.
