Electronics and maintenance products supplier Electrocomponents has unveiled a healthy rise in its fortunes but its rate of growth has slowed significantly.
Bosses at the firm, which employs more than 90 staff at its headquarters on the Oxford Business Park, reported pre-tax profits of £59.4m for the six months to September 30, a rise of almost 18 per cent on the same period last year.
But in 2010 the company reported that its pre-tax profits had doubled as it came out of the recession.
Group chief executive Ian Mason said he was “pleased” with a “strong first-half performance.”
He added: “We have continued to take share, particularly from smaller competitors and ours strategy is delivering good results.”
